Susan has taught at various reputable dance schools in Australia and internationally. She has also been an adjudicator for dance competitions and has coached students who have gone on to have successful careers in dance. Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our students, helping them to achieve their full potential in their ballet exams.
The facilities at Ballet & Dance Arts Tasmania are second to none. Our studios are spacious and fully equipped with ballet barres, mirrors, and sound systems to create the perfect dance environment. We also have a comfortable waiting area for parents and siblings, allowing them to relax and observe classes.

Our classes include Classical Ballet following the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus, Mini Ballerina classes for our youngest dancers, Jason Winters Contemporary Syllabus classes, Examination & Audition Preparation classes, Stretch, Fitball & Jazz classes, as well as Private Tuition & Performance Opportunities for those seeking additional support and opportunities to showcase their talent.
Our dedicated team of teachers at Ballet & Dance Arts Tasmania are all highly qualified and experienced. Led by our Principal, Jacquelyne France-Marsden, who is a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher, our team is passionate about nurturing and developing young dancers. Jacquelyne herself has over 20 years of teaching experience and has trained extensively in both Australia and Japan. She is also actively involved in the local musical theatre scene, further showcasing her choreography skills and passion for dance.
One of our esteemed teachers, Miss Ruby Waddle, is a graduate of Ballet & Dance Arts Tasmania and has completed her Advanced 2 RAD examination. With her experience in performing on stage and her expertise in contemporary dance, Miss Ruby teaches the Jason Winters Contemporary Syllabus and provides support for students preparing for RAD exams and eisteddfod performances. We are also honoured to have Susan Hill Henning, a freelance teacher with over 35 years of experience, as our guest teacher for RAD exam preparation.
