The Ballarat Karate Club Juniors is gearing up for an exciting event that promises to showcase the skills and dedication of its young martial artists. With a focus on self-defence, coordination, attitude, and respect, the club's Junior program has been a cornerstone of its success since 1982.
Led by experienced instructors such as Sempai Dan West, Sempai Paul Schaper, Sempai John McMahon, Sempai Chris O'Keefe, and Sempai Maddi Vawdrey, the Ballarat Karate Club Juniors offers a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. All instructors hold current Working With Children Checks and the club follows a strict Child Safe Policy to ensure the well-being of all participants.
Training nights for Ballarat Juniors are held on Tuesdays for two age groups: 8 to 12-year-olds and 13 to 16-year-olds. For those in Daylesford, training nights are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm. For more information on how to get involved, interested participants can contact Sempai Dan West at 0418359734 for Ballarat or Sempai Heather Wingate at 0417108757 for Daylesford.
The club's annual membership fee is $30, with a training fee of $7 per session and an additional annual insurance fee of $25. The Ballarat Karate Club recently celebrated the success of its first Junior black belt grading in December 2016, with standout candidates such as April Gray, Ben O'Meara, Maddi Vawdrey, and Matt Anderson.
