

Bala Sailing Club is a family-oriented sailing club located on the largest lake in Wales, Y Bala. Operating from early March to late October, the club offers a warm welcome to both new and renewing members. The club is run entirely by volunteers, providing facilities for sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and social activities.
Membership at Bala SC is available for individuals and families, with options for boat parking and moorings for keel boats. The club encourages participation from all members and requires adult sailing members to undertake three voluntary duty sessions during their membership year. These duties include serving as a Safety Boat Cox, safety boat assistant, or Race Control Officer. Members will be contacted to schedule their duty sessions in advance.
Membership renewal is due at the start of January each year.
For temporary visitors or those interested in trying out sailing at the club, day memberships are available for purchase online.
