

Bairnsdale Bridge Club is a well-established and active bridge club located in Bairnsdale, Victoria. The club is dedicated to promoting and fostering the game of bridge, and welcomes players of all skill levels.
The club runs duplicate bridge sessions on Monday evenings at 7. 00 pm, as well as on Fridays and Saturdays at 12. 00 noon. These sessions offer a friendly and competitive environment for players to enjoy the game.
The club also hosts regular Nationwide Pairs events, as well as other red and gold point pairs and teams events.
Table fees for each session are $5 per player, and tea and coffee are provided throughout the day. On special event days, hot and savoury food is also offered to players. The club offers a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for players to relax and enjoy a game of bridge.
The Bairnsdale Bridge Club is known for its active and supportive community. The club regularly recognises and celebrates the achievements of its members. Recently, members Heather Cornwall, Nick Nadebaum, Robynne Owen, Ruth Spears, Kaye Munro, and Faye McMillan achieved significant rank promotions, demonstrating their dedication and skill in the game.
The club also organises annual bridge championships and pairs events. In the 2023 Bairnsdale Club Championship Pairs, Terry and Nick Nadebaum emerged as winners, demonstrating their exceptional performance and strategy. Trish Brown and Dot Lawrence secured the second place, followed by Dianne Wyndham and Ruth Spears in third place.

The Bairnsdale Bridge Club is deeply saddened by the loss of Dot Lawrence, a stalwart of bridge in East Gippsland for many years. Dot was not only a great player but also an outstanding teacher and a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. A graveside service was held at Bairnsdale Cemetery to honour her memory.
