Rob, the organiser, wants to extend a warm message to the sports community. Baglan Boys and Girls Club Football, based in Port Talbot, is home to a lively group of enthusiastic players, from Under 6s to the dedicated Youth.
With over 400 players on board, Baglan BGC has become a vital part of the community, fostering a sense of identity and pride. Rob is keen to highlight that the club is open to everyone, regardless of skill or background. The club, proud to hold the Silver FAW status for its junior section, is dedicated to achieving excellence both on and off the field.
But it's not just about football at Baglan BGC. The club’s indoor hall offers a variety of sports, including badminton, basketball, netball, and even indoor cricket. Rob and the team aim to provide a versatile space to support the community’s well-being and interests, with plans to introduce more activities promoting physical health.
The heart of Baglan BGC is its volunteer team. Rob emphasises their essential role in keeping things running smoothly and providing great facilities. Through ongoing fundraising, these volunteers help create an inclusive environment for everyone.
Rob sees Baglan BGC as more than just a football club. It’s a place where unity and teamwork thrive, aiming to create lasting memories for players, families, and supporters alike.
