Sobell Badminton Club is excited to announce a Badminton Coaching Weekend for club members taking place on August 17 and 18, 2024, at the Loughborough University Netball & Badminton Centre. The event will feature 12 hours of coaching spread across 4 training blocks, led by a world-class coach.
The cost to participate is £210, which includes coaching, 1 night accommodation in a twin room at a 4-star hotel on campus, and meals. Single room options are available at an extra cost. To secure a spot, members must pay a £50 deposit, with the full payment deadline of £160 to be announced.
Limited to 16 participants, the event is open for sign-ups through the club’s Whatsapp group or email. Travel from London is convenient via direct trains from London St Pancras to Loughborough, with return tickets starting from £75. The venue is a short walk or taxi ride from the train station.
The coaching will be conducted by John Quinn, a former English junior champion and world university championships titleholder, with assistance from Alex Dillingham, an English top 20 ranked player in men's and mixed doubles. Sessions will be tailored to participants' needs and wishes in coordination with the coach.
