Bactive Fitness Centre, based in Preston, has all your workout needs covered. Part of the Warton Sports and Social Association, this non-profit gym makes sure every pound earned goes back into enhancing your fitness experience.
In January 2020, Bactive got a massive £60,000 gym refurbishment. Later that year, the Lightning Club—also run by the association—received a major upgrade. It’s a cracking place to hang out with mates, offering two full-sized snooker tables and space for meetings, functions, and conferences.
Nathan at Bactive Fitness Centre ensures there's something for everyone. From free personalised programmes to various memberships, you can fit your workouts around your life, whether you're a gym veteran or just getting started.
Fancy a class? Try Body Sculpt—a music-powered, barbell workout that fits all fitness levels. Pilates focuses on strength and flexibility, while Spinning is a high-intensity indoor cycling class that will have you sweating it out to some great tunes. Move It or Lose It classes help improve aerobic fitness, balance, and flexibility.
For the younger crowd aged 13-15, Nathan’s got Junior Gym sessions, supervised by qualified instructors. These run weekdays from 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm, and weekends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with juniors able to attend other designated times post-induction. Membership is £23 a month but snatch up an annual membership for £180.
Bactive also partners with local clubs like Kirkham Juniors, Lytham Town, and AFC Fylde. You’ll have access to 3G and indoor football pitches, squash and badminton courts, and cricket grounds. The 3G pitches even received a £7,000 upgrade, perfect for year-round football.
Bactive Fitness Centre isn’t just a gym; it's a community hub led by Nathan, dedicated to helping you smash your fitness goals.
