Are you the owner of Back To Balance Pilates?

Healing abilities and the importance of movement.
At Back to Balance Pilates, the studio is more than just a place to exercise – it is a space where members are constantly educated on holistic approaches to movement, health, and overall well-being. The mission of Back to Balance is to empower individuals to move correctly in order to heal themselves through movement. The studio believes in the amazing ability of the human body to heal and perform at its best, and aims to help individuals understand and harness this ability.
The teaching method at Back to Balance is focused on teaching individuals how to move correctly, rather than simply fixing what is broken. By understanding and implementing correct movement patterns, injuries can be avoided, and the body can achieve a state of perfect balance. Over the course of the last ten years, the studio has worked with thousands of individuals, analysing their biomechanics and adapting instruction methods to facilitate healing, prevent injuries, and optimise overall sport and movement performance.
Through years of observation, Back to Balance has identified specific movement patterns and their links to various health issues. For example, overuse of the shoulder and neck can lead to lower back pain, knee injuries, heart issues, pelvic floor issues, prolapses, prostate cancers, incontinence, infertility, and bowel/digestive issues. Addressing these postural concerns has led to the creation of a unique movement framework that balances myofascial meridians and allows for cohesive functioning of the heart, brain, diaphragm, and body systems.
The teaching method at Back to Balance also emphasises the use of basic physics and mechanical advantage in movement. By applying principles such as air compression, levers, pulley systems, and appropriate anchor points, the body can move efficiently and effectively. This is particularly crucial in the hip joint, as the pelvis provides a stable base for the entire body. The teaching method activates the core and utilises pelvic floor breathing, creating a pathway to optimise health and longevity.
The language used at Back to Balance Pilates is simple and accessible to all individuals. The studio's myofascial approach and focus on balancing meridian lines align with Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, energy channels (Chakras), and ancient sacred geometry. The approach has been validated by like-minded health professionals including chiropractors, naturopaths, osteopaths, physical therapists, and yoga instructors.
At Back to Balance Pilates, individuals can expect a holistic approach to movement and overall well-being. The studio's teaching method aims to empower individuals to understand and utilise their body's natural healing abilities, leading to improved posture, injury prevention, and optimised overall health and performance.
