Are you the owner of Baby Swimming?

We do not allow photography or recording during our classes. We want to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all of our participants.
At Baby Swimming, we offer fun classes that teach life-saving skills to babies in warm private pools. Our classes are available on both weekends and weekdays, from 9am to 5pm, providing flexibility for busy parents. We have classes in Surrey, London, and Buckinghamshire, making it easy for families in these areas to participate.
Our journey began in 1994 when Hank and Daisy Starrs took their five-month-old child to an “underwater” swimming course. Inspired by the experience, Daisy trained as a swimming teacher and worked for two infant swim schools. In the year 2000, Baby Swimming was established, with Daisy teaching the classes and Hank taking care of the administration.
Babies are born with the diving reflex, where their throat closes to prevent water intake when submerged underwater. They can comfortably open their eyes underwater and kick their legs. This reflex is strongest before the baby turns 12 months. Parents can enrol their babies in our classes when they are ten weeks old, up until they are 12 months old.
When you choose Baby Swimming, you can be confident in the quality of our services. Our pools are very warm, with temperatures of at least 32 degrees Celsius, ensuring that babies will not shiver in wet suits. With 23 years of experience teaching babies to swim in the UK, we have established ourselves as experts in the field. Our teachers are the best, and we provide them with thorough training, support, and fair compensation.
In our classes, babies gradually learn to respond to cues, such as their name and the words “ready go,” and they become comfortable being submerged and swimming independently underwater. We prioritise the safety and privacy of our participants, which is why we do not allow photography or recording during classes.
We understand that parents may have concerns regarding their baby's immunisations and feeding before swimming. Furthermore, we are happy to accept babies into classes before they are immunised, but ultimately, the decision lies with the parents, and we recommend discussing any concerns with a GP or health visitor. Babies should wait at least one hour after a feed before swimming.
