During this flight, which usually lasts around 30–40 minutes, you will have the opportunity to control the aeroplane under the supervision of a qualified flight instructor. It's a truly immersive experience that will get your heart racing and fuel your passion for aviation.
The best part is that this flight can be logged towards the hours you need to obtain a licence. Once you've completed your TIF, you can choose which licence you wish to attain. Whether you aspire to a Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL), Private Pilot Licence (PPL), or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Merimbula Air Services is here to help you reach your goals.
The RPL is a great starting point for those looking to gain more freedom in their flying adventures. With an RPL, you can carry passengers and fly within 25 nautical miles of the airport. To obtain this licence, you need to be at least 16 years old, hold a current medical certificate, and have a minimum of 25 hours logged with 5 solo hours. The cost for achieving an RPL is generally around $10-12K, depending on competency and training regularity.
