One of the highlights of Avenel Swimming Pool is that all Strathbogie Shire residents receive free entry, making it accessible for everyone in the local community. We believe in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who visit.
During summer from 1st December 2023 to 11th March 2024, our opening hours are as follows: Monday to Sunday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Please note that we are closed on Christmas Day to allow our staff to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones.
Avenel Swimming Pool offers a wide range of facilities to ensure that your swimming experience is enjoyable. We have a 50m pool with 6 lanes, catering to swimmers of all levels, from fast to leisurely. Additionally, we have a leisure pool with 2 lanes, perfect for those seeking a more relaxed swim. The pool also includes a dive pool for those who want to practise their diving skills.
To maintain a clean and inviting environment for all our patrons, we have an appropriate swimwear policy in place. It is mandatory to wear appropriate swimwear at all times. Clothing other than swimwear can cause issues with water clarity, pool disinfectant, and our water filtration systems.
