Australia Ninja Games (ANG) is a sports club based in Brisbane, Queensland. It is the official Ninja League of Obstacle Australia, operated by dedicated athletes who are passionate about the sport. ANG organises various events throughout the year, including the National Championships, which serves as a qualifying event for the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Series held in the USA.
ANG follows the rules and regulations set by the UNAA and World Obstacle, the international governing body for the sport. Athletes as young as 6 years old can participate in ANG competitions, with separate categories for males and females. The race categories range from 7 years and under to Masters (40+) category, ensuring that athletes of all ages and skill levels can compete.
The history of Australia Ninja Games dates back to 2018 when it was established as a response to other Ninja competitions that ended with the first failed obstacle. ANG competitions allow athletes three fails on a course, providing them with more opportunities to showcase their skills and overcome obstacles. The first National Championships were held at The Compound in Melbourne, and the second Championships took place in Canberra in January 2022.
In December 2022, ANG became a founding member of Obstacle Australia, further solidifying its position in the world of Ninja sports. The 2023 National Championships were held at Urban Xtreme Brisbane, featuring 20 qualifying events and attracting over 330 registered athletes.
To stay updated on ANG events and news, individuals are encouraged to follow them on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. In addition, ANG has a network of State Representatives responsible for promoting and organising the sport in their respective states. Each state in Australia has its own representative, ensuring that Ninja Games reaches athletes across the country.
For those interested in joining, ANG offers a variety of gyms and training facilities in different locations. In Queensland, some affiliated gyms include Centenary Playground, Conquer Fitness Solutions, CRANK indoor climbing, Ninja Hub, Ninja Jungle, Terrain Training Obstacle Park, Todd’s PT, Townsville Ninja Parc, Thuringowa Central, and Urban Xtreme. In New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the participating gyms include Australia Warrior Fitness, Burns Outdoor Obstacle Training, Boggy Ninja Academy, K43 Warehouse, Newcastle Ninja Parc, and Obstacle Course Racing School.
Australia Ninja Games is committed to providing a platform for athletes to excel in the sport of Ninja. With its focus on inclusivity and its dedication to following international standards, ANG continues to grow and promote the sport throughout Australia.
