Attleborough Athletics Academy is a sports club located in Attleborough, New Zealand. With a focus on athletics, the club offers age and ability appropriate training sessions suitable for all members of the family. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your athletic skills, Attleborough Athletics Academy has something to offer.
The training sessions take place at Gaymers Meadow, which boasts a 400m grass track. The club has qualified coaches from UK Athletics who deliver fun and engaging training sessions that focus on the fundamentals of sports. Athletes can learn new skills and techniques while participating in structured training sessions.
For juniors aged 7 and above, a free introductory session is offered. These sessions are carefully structured by fully qualified coaches to provide the best possible experience for young athletes. The Academy also offers free taster sessions throughout the year to give athletes a chance to try out the training sessions before committing to a membership.
The senior section of the club welcomes athletes aged 16 and above and runs alongside the junior section. Training sessions for seniors take place on Saturdays at 9:30am and Mondays at 6:30pm. During the autumn and winter months, the group runs around the town, so athletes are required to wear hi-viz vests or clothing for their safety.
Attleborough Athletics Academy takes pride in its members and requests that basic kit is purchased and worn during training sessions. When competing in events, athletes are expected to represent the Academy by wearing a club vest. Kit can be purchased directly from Birds of Dereham, the club's official kit supplier. The Academy also holds a small selection of stock and organises bulk orders throughout the year.
The club is supported by dedicated volunteers who help ensure smooth operations. There is a welfare officer named Matt who handles concerns related to athlete/member welfare. For any concerns or queries, members can contact welfareattleboroughathletics@gmail. Com.
Additionally, there is a volunteer coordinator named David who assists volunteers with gaining qualifications. He can be contacted at volunteerattleboroughathletics@gmail. Com.
