Welcome to the ATMA - Association of Traditional Martial Arts! Darren and the team in Redditch have created a fantastic karate school and social club. It’s a fun and inclusive spot for all ages and skill levels to train and grow in the martial arts.

A big highlight is our Gup Grading system, where you can climb the belts as you improve your skills. The next big day is Saturday, 24th June at the Coventry University Sports Centre. Make sure you’re there on time, in your karate suit and belt, with any gear you need. We've got different groups for each belt level, from 9th Gup (Yellow Belt) to 1st Gup (Red Belt). Remember, no food or drinks in the grading room!

Stay in the loop with our private Facebook group, ATMA Students. Darren updates it every day with news and announcements, perfect for both kids and adults. If you’re training with us, hop onto the group and request to join!

Beyond regular training and gradings, Darren organises loads of cool events and seminars. Coming up in May 2022, we've got an Open Seminar with Iain Abernethy, diving into the Nihanchi technique. Check out our 2023 event calendar on our website and the ATMA Student Group on Facebook.

We’re super proud of our members’ achievements. This year’s Dan and Gup gradings have been amazing, with students showing off their top-notch skills and dedication.
