Led by the internationally acclaimed Artistic Director Maria Osende, Atlantic Flamenco offers a range of programs and initiatives aimed at fostering a deep appreciation for this art form within the local community.

One of the standout projects by Atlantic Flamenco is the pioneering Flamenco Guitar Mentorship Program, the first of its kind in Canada. Thanks to the generous support of Arts Nova Scotia, this program provides aspiring flamenco musicians in Nova Scotia with the opportunity to receive mentorship from esteemed artists and educators, all free of charge. The goal is to nurture and develop musical talent in the province, ensuring that high-quality artistic education is accessible to all.

In addition to educational initiatives, Atlantic Flamenco also hosts the annual Seville's April Fair in Halifax, a celebration of flamenco, spring, and community. This event, held at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, showcases the vibrant energy and colourful traditions of the Seville fair, bringing a taste of Spain to Halifax. The fair features live music, dance performances, art exhibitions, and gastronomic delights, creating a lively and immersive experience for attendees.
