Biography
Meg Harris has quickly become one of Australia's shining stars in the swimming world. Making her Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020 at just 19, Meg not only took home a gold medal but also swam alongside legends like Cate and Bronte Campbell and Emma McKeon to set a world record in the 4x100m freestyle relay. Her athletic prowess didn't stop there; Meg also secured a bronze medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay heats.
After the Tokyo Games, Meg moved to Adelaide for training but soon found herself back in her home state of Queensland, where she’s currently training with Rackley Swim Team under coach Damien Jones. Her commitment and relentless drive paid off once more at the 2022 Budapest World Championships and Commonwealth Games, where she continued to collect an impressive range of medals, adding more golds, silvers, and even a few world records to her name.
As a partially deaf athlete, Meg's journey is an inspiring testament to overcoming obstacles. She has quickly risen to the top ranks in Australian swimming, continuously inspiring young swimmers to chase their dreams.
