Biography
Bronwyn Cox, born in Bristol, United Kingdom, relocated to Western Australia during her early years where she grew up. By the age of 18, Bronwyn had already made waves in the rowing scene, debuting for Western Australia in the youth eight at the 2015 Interstate Regatta. Her early promise was highlighted when she teamed up with Annabelle McIntyre to claim silver in the coxless pair at the 2017 U23 World Rowing Championships. This streak of success continued as she broke into the senior international scene in 2018 with a commendable sixth-place finish at the World Rowing Cup III in Switzerland, rowing with Giorgia Patten. Bronwyn became a key member of Australia's women's eight squad in 2019, leading up to the Tokyo Olympics. That year, she clinched gold at the World Rowing Cup II and added silvers at both the World Rowing Cup III and the World Rowing Championships, ensuring Olympic qualification for the boat. At the Tokyo 2020 Games, Bronwyn and her team put in a solid performance, securing a fifth-place finish in the women's eight final.
