Alex Kiroi-Bogatyreva's journey into the world of rhythmic gymnastics began at a very young age, influenced by her mother's love for dancesports. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Alex moved to Melbourne, Australia, when she was just a year old. By the time she was three, she was already enrolled in kinder gym and acrobatics classes. It wasn't long before she discovered her true passion, rhythmic gymnastics, and by the age of six, she was fully immersed in the sport.

At eleven, Alex's talent shone brightly when she clinched her first international competition victory in Spain. This achievement marked a turning point, solidifying her dedication to pursuing rhythmic gymnastics with unwavering determination. Over the years, she has consistently showcased her skills on both national and international stages, making a name for herself as one of Australia's top rhythmic gymnasts.

Her junior career was marked by numerous podium finishes at the Australian championships, and she continued her success into her senior career. Alex has won multiple national titles, including being the Australian all-around rhythmic gymnastics champion several times. She has also excelled in international competitions, achieving impressive results such as gold at the Luxembourg Cup and medaling at the Commonwealth Games.

Even during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Alex's dedication never wavered. She continued to train rigorously, and her efforts paid off with notable performances at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the World Championships in Valencia. In 2024, she earned an Oceania qualification quota for the Paris Olympics, proving once again her status as a top-tier athlete.

When she's not training in Baku, Azerbaijan, Alex is pursuing a law degree remotely from Monash University. She hopes to combine her love for sports and law by working in sports law in the future.
