Biography
Alex de Minaur, known for his relentless determination and remarkable speed on the court, first made headlines when he captured the Australian under-14 championship in 2013. His prodigious talent was further confirmed the following year with a victory in the under-16 category. Born in Kogarah, NSW, and now calling Sydney home, Alex’s passion for tennis ignited early and has burned brightly ever since.
His professional journey commenced in July 2015 at the Spain F22 tournament, where he showcased his potential by advancing to the quarter-finals. By 2017, the young Australian was making his Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open, where he won his first-round match before being outplayed by the seasoned Sam Querrey.
