One of our esteemed instructors is John 'Jitsu' Robinson. His fight name, John-Jitsu, emerged from a humorous origin but has now become synonymous with his expertise in no gi jiu-jitsu. John brings a unique approach to his teaching, incorporating his strong wrestling background to develop a well-rounded game. Contrary to his name, John is not only skilled in grappling but also possesses a formidable striking background, having trained at renowned gyms such as Bad Company Gym in Leeds and City Kickboxing in New Zealand.
John has an impressive amateur and professional record, having fought on illustrious platforms like the Brave Combat Federation. This wealth of experience translates into his coaching, consistently producing national and European champions across all disciplines. The ultimate goal for John and Atherstone MMA is to nurture future world champions.
To highlight a few of John's sporting achievements, he holds a black belt in grappling/BJJ since 2009 and has secured numerous medals in prestigious competitions at various belt levels. Additionally, John boasts an outstanding record in both amateur and professional MMA, with a total of eight wins and only one loss, five of which were obtained through submissions.
Our class timetable is designed to cater to individuals at every skill level and age group. From Thai boxing and kickboxing to kids' jiu-jitsu and freestyle wrestling, we have a wide range of classes available throughout the week. We also offer both beginner and advanced levels in no gi jiu-jitsu, ensuring all members find their perfect fit. Please refer to our class timetable for specific class times.
Regarding pricing, we have membership options available for both kids (8-12 years) and adults (ages 13+). The first week of training is free, giving newcomers a chance to experience our facilities and coaching before committing. Our membership rates are as follows: kids' membership is 40 per month, while adults can choose between basic membership (2 classes per week) at 59 per month or unlimited classes membership at 69 per month.
