Just a quick heads-up from Sarah, your trusty organiser. Sarah’s stoked to welcome everyone to Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park, perched right in the sunny, beautiful Bay of Plenty.
If you're not familiar, it’s at the northern end of Tauranga Harbour with sweet views and lush Puriri trees, plus a whole lot of native birds. Last year, the park snagged the Holiday Parks NZ Spirit of Hospitality Award, so you know you're in good hands.
The park's got accommodation options for everyone. There are spacious 2-bedroom Motel Units and Deluxe Chalets, both coming with Freeview and Netflix. For those watching the budget, there are standard cabins with shared facilities. If you’re bringing a tent or campervan, there’s plenty of space too.
The hot mineral pools are the main attraction—one big pool at 33–35 degrees Celsius with a shallow spot for the little ones, and a smaller adults-only pool at 39.5 degrees Celsius. The pool complex also has change rooms with toilets, showers, and heated floors.
