Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park is thrilled to announce the completion of their latest refurbishment. The hot pools are now open daily from 8.30am until 7.30pm, with no extra charge for staying guests. If you're not a guest at the park, don't worry! You're still welcome to come and enjoy the hot pools during designated hours.
The pool complex boasts two magnificent natural mineral pools. The larger pool has an average depth of 1.3m and even has a shallow section for toddlers. For those seeking some peaceful relaxation, there is also a smaller adult pool with a toasty temperature ranging between 38.5-40C. Need to freshen up? No problem! Within the complex, you'll find a change room complete with clean toilets, showers, and even heated floors.
The pool complex has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment in March 2023, ensuring it's ready to be enjoyed for the next 25 years. Admission prices vary, with special discounts available on Saturdays and public holiday weekends. Adults can enter for just $10.00, seniors for $8.00, and children aged 1–12 years old for $7.00. Families can snag a fantastic Family Pass for $30.00, which includes entry for 2 adults and 2 children. For those who plan to visit frequently, consider purchasing a Concession Swim Card for $80.00, which covers 10 prepaid swims. Just remember, children under 3 years old receive a complimentary swim nappy, and children under 12 months unfortunately are not permitted to enter the pools.
Wondering where the water comes from? It's all thanks to an underground aquifer situated a whopping 250 meters below the pools. This ensures a constant supply of refreshing mineral water. Each day, the pools are emptied and spotless, guaranteeing a clean and hygienic environment. We've also taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint! By installing a water-to-water heat pump, we're able to recover heat energy from discharged water and use it to heat up the incoming geothermal water. This amazing technology has helped us reduce our CO2 emissions by a staggering 32 tonnes each year.
Safety and respect for others are a top priority here at Athenree Hot Springs. Please make sure to follow all safety rules and be considerate of other guests. We kindly request that children are closely supervised at all times and refrain from using the adult pool. Toddlers between 12 months and 3 years old are required to wear swim nappies, which can be obtained from the office upon your arrival. Lastly, we must note that the pools are not suitable for children under 12 months of age.
