The Aston Ingham Bowling Club Club AGM is an annual event that takes place on a Thursday in October. Club members are kindly asked to register and pay their annual fees during this event. You can make your payment in person at the AGM, either by cheque or cash. If you prefer a more convenient option, you can also pay directly into the Club's bank account.
For the year 2022, the annual club fee is £45.00. Additionally, there is a £5.00 fee for the HSMBA (Herefordshire Short Mat Bowling Association) for indoor play. If you plan to play outdoors next summer, there will be an additional £8.00 fee for Bowls England.
To break it down for you, if you only play indoors, your total fee for 2022 will be £50.00. If you solely enjoy the outdoor greens, your fee will be £53.00. And if you're an all-rounder who plays both indoor and outdoor bowls, the subscription fee will be £58.00.
In addition to the AGM, the Club also organises regular roll-up sessions. These sessions take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.00pm, providing a perfect opportunity for members to practice and have fun. If you prefer to play during the afternoons, don't worry, the Club has got you covered! Extended roll-up sessions are available on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons at 2.00pm.
Please note that for weekend sessions on the outdoor greens, we kindly ask for prior agreement due to the unpredictable nature of British weather. We want to ensure the best conditions for all our members to enjoy their bowls experience to the fullest.
If you're interested in participating in the Club's indoor competitions, be sure to check out the notice board in the Clubhouse. All the details about the competitions will be listed there. To secure your spot, simply put your name on the participation list by October 31st. The draws for the competitions will be made, and players are responsible for arranging their own matches. It's a great opportunity to showcase your skills and challenge fellow members.
Finally, let's talk about the importance of delivering effective bowls. We want to make the most out of our games, and therefore, it's essential to avoid delivering short bowls. They are considered wasted bowls, and we encourage all our members to aim for precision and accuracy in every play.
So mark your calendars for the Aston Ingham Bowling Club Club AGM, pay your fees, and join us for exciting roll-up sessions and competitive indoor competitions. Let's make the upcoming year a memorable one for our beloved Aston Ingham Bowling Club!
