
Association Budokai St-Bruno is a non-profit organization located in St-Bruno-de-Montarville, dedicated to the practice and promotion of traditional shotokan-style karate. Their mission is to facilitate the development and fulfillment of members of all ages, from novice to seasoned practitioners. The club is headed by a dedicated Board of Directors, ensuring that the development of the club is aligned with the needs of its members.
Since January 2013, Budokai St-Bruno has been a member of the AKS (Association Karat Shotokan) under the leadership of Sensei Katsumata, an 8th dan black belt. Sensei Katsumata is a highly respected instructor with exceptional pedagogical skills, who provides demanding yet understanding training sessions for all members. The club offers opportunities for members to train with Japanese masters at camps organized throughout the year, as well as to progress through the belt ranks under the guidance of renowned instructors.
The club's Chief Instructor, Sensei Marie-Paule Cervellin, a 4th dan black belt, has over 28 years of experience in karate. She is dedicated to guiding members along the path to mastery in martial arts, whilst upholding the rules and traditions of the art. Budokai St-Bruno also boasts other experienced instructors, including Lyse Cervellin and Martin Sergerie.
Budokai St-Bruno welcomes individuals of all ages and skill levels to join their training sessions. Whether you are looking to start your martial arts journey or to advance your existing skills, the club offers a supportive and enriching environment for all members. Prospective members are encouraged to attend a free training session during the first week of each session.
