Shihan Alan Miller wishes to extend a personal note to the sports community about Ashford Karate Jutsu Kai. In 2010, Shihan Kim Garrett (5th Dan) joined the club. With over 20 years of martial arts training under her belt, she brings a wealth of knowledge and makes an excellent instructor.
The club also benefits from the expertise of Sempai Marc Wheeler (2nd Dan), Sempai Jason Hampton (1st Dan), Sempai Ellie Miller (1st Dan), and Sempai Paige Taylor (1st Dan). Each instructor contributes to the club’s lively and supportive training environment with their own specialisations.
The dojo is based at The Stour Centre on Tannery Lane in Ashford. It's spacious, well-equipped, and accessible, catering to all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist, there is a suitable class for you.
Both Karate and Kickboxing classes are on offer, with the first session free for newcomers. Junior classes are £5 per session and adult sessions are £7. Discounts are available for siblings and multiple classes.
The class schedule is as follows: Karate on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. On Tuesday, juniors start at 18:30 and seniors at 19:30. Thursday’s junior class begins at 19:00 and the senior class at 20:00. There is also a Kickboxing class for seniors on Tuesday at 19:30.
