Ashfield Golf Course

Ashfield Golf Club, in Newry, is where golf in South Armagh comes alive. Since opening in 1990, Ashfield's been the spot for local and visiting players, and they've been part of the Golfing Union of Ireland since '92.

Just an hour from both Dublin Airport and Belfast, getting to Ashfield is a breeze. The 5606-yard, par 69 parkland course is a solid test for golfers of all levels. With well-kept fairways and greens set in beautiful surroundings, it’s a great place for a round.

Keen to play? Visitors are welcome, with weekday green fees at £20/25 and weekends/bank holidays at £25/28. Juniors under 16 play for just £10, making it friendly on the wallet.

Fancy joining the club? Ashfield’s got membership spots open for 2025. Members not only get access to the course but can also pick up a G.U.I. handicap. The club's got loads of comps year-round, like stroke, stableford, and four-ball better ball; perfect for testing your game.

For the juniors, there are coaching sessions on Saturday mornings from April to October to help young golfers improve. Junior membership deals are on offer too.
