Aaron, the organizer, wants to give everyone an update about the amazing facilities available over at UBC's Athletics & Recreation Sport Facilities. Let’s start with Arthur Lord Field, situated right on the grounds of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. This spot is perfect for rugby lovers. Back in June 2015, it received some upgrades, including reseeding and elevation enhancements, to provide top-notch playing conditions. Right now, the field is fenced off to allow the grass to settle in, but it’ll be ready for action by spring 2016.
Besides Arthur Lord Field, the UBC Sport Facilities also host the UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Training Centre. This state-of-the-art indoor facility is where the UBC Thunderbirds Baseball Team gets their practice in all year round. Equipped with four full-sized batting cages and pitching machines, it’s recognised as the best baseball training spot in British Columbia. The centre is also versatile enough for multi-sport training sessions.
If you're looking to book a session at the UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Training Centre, there are various rental rates depending on the season. Full facility rentals, single batting cage areas, pitching machines, and even a HitTrax system are available. Just contact the facility directly via phone or email to make a reservation.
Another gem in UBC’s facilities is the UBC Tennis Centre. It features 12 indoor courts and an outdoor court, catering to all tennis enthusiasts. Spanning over 7,175 m2, the centre provides accessible washrooms, change rooms with showers, day-use lockers, and meeting rooms. Whether you prefer playing indoors or outside, the UBC Tennis Centre has got you covered.
Aaron wanted to make sure everyone knows that whether you're into rugby, baseball, or tennis, the UBC Athletics & Recreation Sport Facilities have something for you. With dedicated staff, modern amenities, and competitive rental rates, it’s the go-to place for sports fans in Vancouver.
