Armadale Golf Club

Armadale Golf Club, also known as The Springs Club, is Perth's biggest golfing secret located in Forrestdale, Western Australia. This 9-hole facility offers a fun and challenging course that is sure to impress golfers of all skill levels. With multiple tees at each hole, players have the opportunity to experience changing distances and angles for their second nine if completing a 'double loop' of 18 holes.

The course spans 5000 metres and boasts a par 68 rating. Surrounded by class-A reserve bushland, the tree-lined fairways provide a scenic and tranquil setting for golfers to enjoy. The course has recently undergone a complete renovation, with new greens, tees, and fairways taking shape over the old layout. Bunkers and water features have been added to enhance the challenge, while the new greens are quick, undulating, and generously sized.

The Springs Club offers an accessible golfing experience presented to a tournament standard condition. The 2016 renovations have transformed the course into a virtually new facility, earning it the reputation of being a “hidden gem” among golfers. The natural features of the land are highlighted throughout the course, providing a unique and memorable golfing experience.

Opening times at The Springs Club are seasonally adjusted for sunrise and sunset. On weekdays, the earliest tee time is at first light or 6:00 am, whichever is earliest. The last tee-off for 9 holes is 120 minutes before sunset, and 180 minutes before sunset for 18 holes. On weekends and public holidays, the earliest tee time is at first light or 5:30 am, whichever is earliest.

Armadale Golf Club has a rich history, servicing local golfers for over 30 years. In late 2015, Golf Oracle took over operations at the site and embarked on a process to completely modernise the existing layout. The design, created by Jeff Lane Turf Consultancy in collaboration with Golf Oracle, aimed to provide an accessible golfing experience presented to a tournament standard condition while highlighting the natural features of the land.

Funded by the City of Armadale, Golf Oracle, and a grant from the WA Department of Sport and Recreation, a $1 million upgrade was initiated in July 2016. These upgrades have transformed the course into a modern golfing experience that seamlessly blends with the native Australian bushland.

The Springs Club also offers memberships, providing full access to the course seven days a week during opening hours, subject to booking availability. Members enjoy discounted green fees for up to 18 holes per day.
