There a maximum age limit? Absolutely not! Archery is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. We have members ranging from teenagers to well into their 70s.
It's never too late to pick up a bow and start shooting.
Membership: Becoming a member of Links Archers is easy and affordable. We offer both individual and family memberships. As a member, you'll have access to our club sessions, coaching from experienced archers, and the opportunity to compete in local and national competitions. Membership also includes insurance cover provided by Archery GB.
Club Sessions: Our club sessions are held throughout the year, both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season. From September to May, we shoot indoors at Montrose Sports Centre on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. From May to September, we move outdoors to Lathallan School, where we shoot on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additionally, members have the option to shoot outdoors at Mearns Academy.
Indoor sessions are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while outdoor sessions are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the old Mearns Academy playing field.
Visitors: If you're a member of the Grand National Archery Society (Archery GB) or a non-UK society affiliated to FITA, you're welcome to join us for a shoot from time to time. If you'd like to shoot with us regularly, you can join as an associate member without needing to affiliate again.
2020 Year Plan: We have a packed schedule of events and competitions planned for the year. From indoor and outdoor shoots to club championships and fun shoots, there's something for everyone. We also organise beginners' courses for those who want to learn the sport from scratch.
