Arana Little Athletics

Arana Little Athletics, a prominent track and field athletics program in Brisbane, invites boys and girls of all ages to join their upcoming Little Athletics event. This fantastic sports club provides a wonderful platform for both serious and social junior athletes, fostering a relaxed and friendly environment for them to thrive in.

Catering to age groups from under 6 to under 17, Arana Little Athletics even has a special Tiny Tots group for 3 and 4 year olds. Tiny Tots offers an informal and games-based program designed to engage the youngest children in fun activities. During these sessions, which typically run from 6pm to 7pm, parents actively participate alongside their little ones.

For those aged 5 and above, they can dive straight into the u6 age group and begin participating in the formal events. The competitions themselves take place on Friday nights, starting from September and continuing until March, with a short break over the festive season.

Here's the best part: new members are always welcome to join Arana Little Athletics, even during the season. To help you get accustomed, you can even trial the program for free for two weeks before making a commitment.

If you're looking to improve your skills, the club also offers optional coaching and training sessions throughout the week. These sessions are conducted by qualified athletics coaches who are passionate about nurturing the talents of each individual athlete.

Arana Little Athletics goes beyond just local competitions. As the season progresses, there are fantastic opportunities for athletes to compete at regional and state competitions held on various weekends. It's a chance for athletes to showcase their talent and achieve personal growth in the sport they love.

The competitions usually wrap up around 7.15-7.30pm for younger athletes, while the older ones might continue until 8.15-8.30pm. The events are held at the picturesque Leslie Patrick Park on Olearia Street West in Arana Hills.

Now, let's talk about the fees. Registration fees vary depending on the age group. For our adorable Tiny Tots, it costs just $65.50 to join in the fun. As for the u6 age group, the fee is $92.50. For all other age groups, the registration fee is $107.50. Additionally, there is a refundable bond of $80 per family and a $35 fee for the centre shirt.

But fret not, dear athletes and families! There are no additional weekly costs or entry fees for Regional & State Championship events. We believe in keeping the sport accessible and affordable for all.

If you decide to join us mid-season, from January onwards, you'll enjoy discounted fees. However, please note that participants who register during this period will not be eligible for Regional Championships.

For those seeking more competitive opportunities, entry fees to other LAQ Carnivals or centre carnivals are separate and will cost $20 each. It's essential for participants to sport the appropriate uniform, and you can find all the guidelines on where to place each item on our website.
