Hey sports community! ✨
Just wanted to share some exciting tidbits about Aradhana School of Dancing, a fab Bharathanatyam school in Ilford, London. Founded by the amazing Mrs. Sujanthinee Mageswaran back in March 2011, it's been a beacon for teaching this classical Indian dance form to kids as young as four.
The school has been quite active, strutting their stuff at various events. Remember the London Olympics Torch Relay (Newham & Stratford) in 2012? Yep, that was them! They've also dazzled crowds at the Salangai Vinodham dance competition between 2012-2014, and even rocked the stage at Goshin Isshinryu Karate’s World Championships Opening Ceremony in 2019. 🌟
Mrs. Mageswaran, the heart and soul behind it all, started learning Bharathanatyam at just four and a half in the village of Urumparai, Sri Lanka. After moving to London, she took a brief teaching break but bounced back to start the school on March 9, 2011.
Classes are spread across Harold Hill (Mondays), Seven Kings (Fridays), Newbury Park (Saturdays), and Chelmsford (Sundays). From beginners to advanced, there’s something for everyone!
At Aradhana, it’s not just about dance; students gain discipline, confidence, and a deep appreciation for Indian culture. If this sounds like something you'd love to explore, reach out! Mrs. Sujanthinee Mageswaran is on 07881360419 and Miss. Mithesha Mageswaran (teacher/admin whiz) is on 07532800795. You can also email at aradhanads@yahoo.co.uk.
Let's celebrate the beauty of dance together! 💃✨
