Aquarius Swimming Club

Aquarius Swimming Club, based in the Tandridge area of Surrey, has been providing exceptional swimming lessons since its establishment in 1978. With years of experience and a strong reputation within the local community, Aquarius has been nationally recognised for its teaching prowess, earning awards from both Swim England and the Royal Life Saving Society.

Aquarius operates at venues in Caterham, Warlingham, and Oxted, catering to swimmers of all ages and abilities. The club focuses on developing well-rounded swimmers, encouraging participation in nationally recognised programmes of awards and badges. This allows swimmers and their parents to track their progress and celebrate their accomplishments.

Once basic swimming skills have been honed, Aquarius keeps swimmers engaged by introducing activities such as water polo, early diving skills, life-saving techniques, and swimming for fitness. The club is proud to support the Tandridge Aquarius Swimming Squad (TASS) and is dedicated to nurturing long-term relationships with its swimmers. Many of the club's teachers learned to swim with Aquarius as children and former pupils often bring their own children back for lessons.

Aquarius Swimming adopted the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming in 2009, ensuring that the best teaching methods are employed to help swimmers reach their full potential. In 2012, the club also implemented the RLSS Survive and Save Programme, further enhancing the safety and skills of its swimmers.
