Aquarius Dancers, located in Blacktown, is a dance school dedicated to providing tuition in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern Jazz, and Modern Tap dance. The Principal of Aquarius Dancers is Tracey Murphy, who has been actively involved in the dance world since the age of 3. With years of experience in competitions, examinations, teaching, and performing, Tracey brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the dance school. She has performed in various venues across the country and internationally. Having experienced dance training from multiple studios, Tracey recognised the need for a more accessible and supportive dance school.
This inspired her vision of creating a low-cost dance school that offers dance to anyone who has the desire to participate, fostering a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Aquarius Dancers offers a diverse range of classes for different age groups and skill levels. The timetable for 2023 includes classes such as Tiny Tots for ages 2–4 years, Pre-juniors for ages 4–6 years, and Seniors for ages 12–20 years. There are also specialised classes for adults, including Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance. Class fees range from $10 to $16 depending on the duration and level of the class.
The studio emphasises the importance of bringing a drink, preferably water, to all classes. Additionally, students are required to ensure that their mobile phones are either switched off or on silent during class.
Aquarius Dancers is staffed by a dedicated team led by Principal Tracey Gosling. The administration is managed by Gail Murphy, and there are also Assistant Teachers: Amy Ward, Mikayla Tasker, and Jasmine Ries. The team is committed to providing a positive and nurturing environment for all students.
