The Anne Samson School of Ballet takes great pride in upholding the timeless traditions of dance etiquette. Every student at our esteemed Ballet club understands the importance of adhering to the correct uniform and footwear during classes and performances.
For our junior level dancers, a neat ponytail is permitted, as long as any stray bits are neatly clipped back. However, for our Grade 3 and above students, a proper ballet bun is mandatory. We insist that it be skilfully and securely fastened with clips and a bun net, ensuring a polished and professional appearance.
In order to maintain focus and create a distraction-free environment, we kindly ask all students to refrain from wearing jewellery, watches, and cell phones during class. We believe in nurturing a concentrated and dedicated atmosphere where our dancers can fully immerse themselves in their art form.
While we do discourage non-essential personal belongings, we understand the importance of hydration. Thus, water bottles are welcomed and encouraged in the studio. Staying properly hydrated is crucial for our dancers to perform at their best, and we want to ensure their well-being throughout their training sessions.
It's essential to note that our uniform requirements differ depending on each grade level. Specific shoes, leotards, skirts, and tights are specified for every grade, ensuring that each dancer feels confident and unified in their appearance.
