The Anna McCrea Outdoor Rink, located at 250 Mark Street in Sault Ste. Marie, is a popular destination for hockey enthusiasts of all ages. Open Monday to Friday from 3 p. m.

to 10 p. m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a. m.

to 10 p. m. This outdoor rink offers a fun and exciting environment for players to enjoy the game.

Managed by the City of Sault Ste. Marie, the Anna McCrea Rink is part of the city's network of outdoor ice rinks that open for the season on January 16th. In addition to the rink, other outdoor skating facilities in the city include the Esposito Rink, Merrifield Rink, Art Jennings Speed Skating Oval, Clergue Park Skating Trail, and the Downtown Plaza Skating Rink.

For those looking for indoor ice skating options, the John Rhodes Community Centre Arena and Northern Community Centre Arena offer public ice skating sessions. Sledge skating is available at the John Rhodes Arena 2, while shinny hockey can be enjoyed at the Northern Community Centre Arena.

Public and adult recreational ice skating sessions are held at the John Rhodes and Northern Community Centre Arenas from September to April. Shinny hockey, an informal game with minimal equipment and no goaltender, is also available at select times throughout the season.
