The beginners class, also known as Level 1, takes place from 7pm to 8pm. It's perfect for those who are completely new to swing dancing and want to learn the basics. Each week, the class covers the fundamentals before introducing new moves. The best part? It's a drop-in class, so no advance booking or partner is required. Just turn up and join the fun!
If you're feeling confident after the beginners class, why not stick around for the Improvers class (Level 2)? It runs from 8.15pm to 9.15pm and introduces new moves, rhythms, and transitions between basic steps. Don't worry, if you're comfortable with the beginners class, you'll be absolutely fine in this one too!
For those looking to take their swing dancing skills to the next level, the Advanced class (Level 3) is the perfect challenge. Running from 9.30pm to 10.30pm, this class focuses on more advanced shapes, rhythms, and elements of social dancing. Here, you'll dive into topics like musicality, connection, individual expression, and dancing to varying tempos.
All classes take place at the Exmouth Market Centre (Church hall) in the vibrant Clerkenwell area of London. When it comes to payment, Swing Patrol Angel accepts cash or class card only. The cost for each class is £10, with a discounted rate of £6 for full-time university students. Plus, if you take more than one class on the same evening, the second class is half price! Please note that online payment is not available, so remember to bring your payment with you to the door.
