Amber Gordon discovered her passion for teaching and nurturing young dancers while working with students of all ages. After several inspiring years in Greece, Amber returned to Northern Ireland and, in September 2002, founded the Amber Gordon School of Dance in Hillsborough.
This school has blossomed into a dynamic hub for dancers of all ages and abilities. The school offers a variety of dance classes, including RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern Theatre, Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap. Notably, it's the only dance school in the area offering classes exclusively from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
Each year, students at the Amber Gordon School of Dance have the chance to take exams in various dance styles, with the school boasting a 100% pass rate and high results. Beyond regular classes and exams, the school stages an annual show at the Island Hall in the Lisburn Civic Centre—a highlight featuring the entire school’s talent and dedication.
For those interested in dance competitions, Amber’s school has competitive teams that rehearse on Saturdays and have achieved significant success in local events. The fully qualified teaching staff, who have earned distinctions from both the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, are committed to nurturing each student's talent and potential.
