Alsager Equestrian Centre

Tania, the brains behind Alsager Equestrian Centre, wanted to share a quick note with the sports community. Based in Church Lawton, Stoke-on-Trent, Alsager Equestrian Centre is a trusted horse riding school that has been a family affair for over 35 years. They offer both home livery services and lessons for everyone – whether you're a rookie or a seasoned rider.

At the helm is Tania, a qualified British Horse Society Assistant Instructor (BHS AI). She’s ready to give lessons to those who bring their own horses, tailoring each session to fit the rider's needs and goals.

The centre is kitted out with some impressive facilities, including two indoor arenas (80ft x 240ft and 130ft x 70ft) and two outdoor menages (90ft x 230ft and 180ft x 80ft). These spaces are well-maintained and provide a safe spot for riders to practise and train.

Throughout the year, Alsager Equestrian Centre hosts various competitions, attracting local and regional riders. Show jumping events are a big hit, catering to different skill levels with well-designed courses that ensure each competition is challenging yet fun.

Moreover, you can hire their facilities for your own practice or private events. Just remember to book the indoor arena in advance. They have a strict cancellation policy: less than 24 hours’ notice and you’ll be charged half price. Oh, and don’t forget to switch off the lights after use – there's a £20 charge if you don't!

The centre is quite active online too. Their Facebook page is the go-to for updates on events and activities. A heads-up: they no longer accept cheques for show jumping entries or arena hire, and dressage entries need to be paid upfront.
