Alison Johns Golf Coaching, located at Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, offers high-quality coaching for players of all levels. Alison is a PGA Golf Professional with a wealth of experience, having been named the Midland Region 'Coach of the Year' and serving as the Lincolnshire PGA Captain. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to ever captain the Midlands PGA. Alison also boasts a background in professional golf, having played on the Ladies European Tour and represented England in various golf teams.
Alison's coaching programme is designed to be easily accessible and effective, with three stages that allow players to learn at their own pace. Before embarking on coaching, an initial consultation is required to establish clear expectations. The ultimate goal of the coaching is for players to take ownership of any changes in their method or habits, which requires time, review, and practise. Alison also provides ongoing support to players, whether they are local or occasional visitors.
Alison's passion for golf began at a young age when she hit her first shot alongside her father at the age of eleven. She quickly excelled in the sport, representing England in the under 18s girls team at just fourteen years old, making her the youngest player at the time. She continued to represent England in the junior, schools, and ladies teams, as well as Great Britain & Ireland. Her talent and dedication led her to turn professional in 1991, playing on the Ladies European Tour for two years before pursuing her PGA Training.
In 1996, she qualified as a PGA Professional and has been a teaching professional at Woodhall Spa since 2007.
Woodhall Spa, home to The National Golf Centre, offers exceptional practise facilities for golfers. The extensive training centre includes a four-acre short game area, an 18-bay covered driving range, grass tee areas, an indoor swing analysis room, a conference room, a strength and conditioning unit, and an indoor putting room. It is one of the most comprehensive golf training centres in Europe, attracting national squads and top players such as Justin Rose, Danny Willett, Tyrrell Hatton, and Matt Wallace. The centre's short game area features a large USGA specification practise green, multiple chipping greens, an approach green, and bunkers.

Alison offers a range of lesson options with competitive prices. These include 30-minute and 60-minute lessons, as well as packages of multiple lessons. Additionally, she provides 2-hour playing lessons for a more immersive and on-course learning experience. Juniors under the age of 18 are also welcome for coaching.
