While not mandatory, these examinations are highly recommended as they hold UCAS points at higher levels. The examination process is conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, allowing students to showcase their hard work and be rewarded for their dedication throughout the year. AJDA has a remarkable 100% pass rate and has achieved an over 80% Distinction average result from its students for five consecutive years.
In addition to examinations, AJDA offers students the opportunity to perform in the annual showcase held at Theatre Seven Shrewsbury. With a different theme each year, students learn and perfect routines during their regular dance classes from January to Easter, leading up to the big night. The showcase is a highlight of the academy, fostering excitement, camaraderie, and a show-stopping performance for all involved.
AJDA proudly participates in competitions and festivals, with a successful streak of attending such events for six years. The academy welcomes all students to join its performance team, without the need for auditions. AJDA values commitment, hard work, and a passion for learning above all else. The academy enters students into soloist, duets, trios, and group competitions, often resulting in numerous medals and trophies.
