Alia Knight is a highly experienced and qualified practitioner in New Town, Tasmania. With over two decades of experience, Alia is skilled in various modalities including acupuncture, naturopathy, nutrition, personal training, and remedial therapy. She integrates traditional Chinese medicinal approach into a naturopathic model and always uses tongue and pulse diagnosis in consultations to evaluate a person's health status.
Alia returned to Tasmania in 2002 and established Shen Clinic & Apothecary. Prior to this, she trained and worked in South Australia, where she received prestigious awards such as SA Vocational Student of the Year in 2000 and Honours Postgraduate Award Excellence in Professional Practise in 1999. Alia even appeared as a regular panellist on the ABC TV programme Second Opinion in 2004.
Believing in the importance of integrating nutrition and exercise into wellness plans, Alia provides a comprehensive biochemical view of the body processes with the aim to educate, motivate, and empower clients. Apart from being a qualified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, she is also a Fitgenes practitioner, providing genetic testing to analyse an individual's genetic profile ethically.
During a consultation and treatment with Alia, clients may experience acupuncture, nutritional analysis, lifestyle and fitness changes, as well as remedial massage and cupping to alleviate sore muscles, injuries, and strains. Her approach centres around balancing the body physically, emotionally, and biochemically.
