Located at Three Shells Beach, our jetty facility is centrally located in Southend-on-Sea and offers a convenient and picturesque location for sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. With the best tidal access on the Essex foreshore, it provides the perfect spot to explore the stunning estuary and enjoy the water activities.

Membership at the Alexandra Yacht Club is available in two categories: Family Membership and Single Membership. The Family Membership is suitable for 1 or 2 adults and up to 2 cadets residing at the same address. Additional cadets within the family can be added at a nominal charge. The Single Membership is open to individuals over the age of 18.

Discounted rates are available for individuals over 65 or in full-time education, making the club accessible to all.

We also offer a Friends of Alexandra Yacht Club membership option for those who wish to support the club and participate in social events organised by the club. This is a great way to be involved in the vibrant community and share the love for sailing and water sports.

In addition to sailing, the club offers a varied sailing programme, including Dinghy Racing and Dinghy Cruising. With our location on the Thames estuary, we have a wide range of sailing destinations, such as Canvey Island yacht club and Leigh-on-sea. We also venture further afield to Kent, with Allhallows and the Isle of Sheppey being popular options.

For those interested in paddling, the Alexandra Yacht Club provides an ideal location for kayaking and canoeing. Our jetty offers secure storage for your craft and paddles, conveniently located by the water's edge. Members also have access to changing facilities and a safe area to practise and improve their skills in the tidal lagoon.
