Aldwych Speed Club

The club remained the same. The club flourished at this new venue, and during this time many skaters achieved national and international success.

In 2011, the club celebrated its centenary and published a book called “Go Fast, Turn Left – 100 Years of the Aldwych Speed Club”, which documents the rich history of the club and its members. The book can be purchased through the club.

Aldwych Speed Club trains twice a week at the ice rink located in the Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre. The club welcomes skaters of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced skaters. Whether you want to improve your skills and fitness or aspire to compete at the highest level, Aldwych Speed Club offers a supportive and competitive environment for all.

Many members of the club have represented Great Britain in international competitions, including the Olympics. The club also hosts its own competitions, providing opportunities for all skaters to achieve their personal goals in a race situation.
