Albury Estate Fisheries is excited to announce an upcoming local Fishing event for all the passionate anglers out there. Located in Guildford, Albury Estate Fisheries offers high-quality fly-fishing in the serene Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. With four tranquil lakes in Albury and an additional lake in the stunning grounds of Syon Park in West London, fishing enthusiasts are in for a treat.
When it comes to membership options, Albury Estate Fisheries has got you covered. They offer Day Membership, allowing you to pay per visit and enjoy access to Vale End and Weston lakes in Albury, as well as Syon Park during the winter. For those looking for unlimited visits, Season Membership is available. This includes access to the Day waters, Powder Mills in Albury, and Syon Park. And for the dedicated anglers, Syndicate Membership grants access to all the Day and Season lakes, along with the cherished Park Lake in Albury Park.
To fish in these incredible lakes, a valid Fish Token is required. Each fish caught earns you one Fish Token, which can be purchased online and will be provided to you by the friendly Bailiffs when you visit the lakes. It's important to note that Fish Tokens are not transferable or refundable, so make sure to plan accordingly.
Upon becoming a member, you will receive a unique and non-transferable Membership Card. These barcoded cards serve as your key to the lakes, granting you access through the control gates. This ensures the security and exclusivity of the fishing experience at Albury Estate Fisheries.
The history of the Albury Estate trout fishing lakes is truly fascinating. Dating back to the late 1970s, many of these lakes were created in abandoned millpond areas, which have rich historical ties to water power utilisation. Springs and the scenic Tillingbourne River, which runs along the south side of the North Downs in Surrey, supply these lakes with water. And thanks to their own Estate Fish Farm, the lakes are stocked with Rainbow Trout, providing excellent Fly Fishing prospects.
At Albury and Syon Park, the expert team boasts an impressive 30 years of experience in Fly Fishing. Their memberships offer various benefits, including the number of trout you can land per year and the vast amount of water available for fishing – a million litres, to be exact!
For those using GPS, the coordinates to the entrance of Syon Park are TW7 6BB. This will guide you to the corner of 'Park Road' and 'Church Street' in Old Isleworth, where your adventure at Albury Estate Fisheries awaits.
When it comes to specific fishing opportunities, Albury Fly Fishing Lakes at Weston, Vale End, Powder Mills, and Park provide exceptional fly-fishing experiences. Powder Mills is a peaceful water surrounded by natural beauty, making it ideal for experienced fly fishermen. And last but not least, Albury Park Fishery promises both lake and stream fishing in a picturesque location, with stocked Albury rainbows and challenging browns weighing between 1lb to 1.5lbs.
