Ajendance NI prides itself on being more than just a dance school; it aims to provide the best training for dancers of all ages and proficiency levels. The school offers a wide range of dance styles, catering to beginners as well as professionals.
Over the past decade, Ajendance NI has experienced significant growth, with their membership steadily increasing each month. The school has accomplished various accolades and achievements, including becoming N. I Champions, Ulster Champions, All Ireland Champions, and UDO World Champions. One of their most recent achievements includes securing first place in Manchester's SOAR BIG WEEKENDER competition, triumphing over the best dancers in the UK.
These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the staff and students throughout the year.
In addition to dance training, Ajendance NI also prepares their young dancers for further education in the arts. Many of their pupils have gone on to study at prestigious institutions such as Bird College, London Contemporary, Urdang Performing Arts, and Edge Hill University. The school prides itself on creating job opportunities and fostering the development and growth of their young dancers within the Ajendance family.
Apart from regular classes, Ajendance NI offers students the opportunity to compete in various dance competitions, take exams, and perform at events throughout the province. The cohesive and supportive “family” atmosphere at Ajendance is what holds the school together. Students are encouraged to make new friends and participate in fun days organised by the school.
The year 2021 to 2022 marked a significant turning point for Ajendance NI, with exciting new ideas being implemented for the arts. The school organises the largest creative learning weekender for all dancers called Project Dance NI. Additionally, the Belfast studio is undergoing renovations to ensure only the best facilities are provided to dancers. The year 2019-2020 was particularly exceptional for Ajendance NI, with impressive class performance, growth in both studios, and hosting four amazing shows, becoming the All Ireland Street Dance Champions.
This victory allowed the school to invest in further training and personal development.
Ajendance NI has also been recognised for its performance at prestigious events and awards ceremonies, such as Miss NI 2019, Maritime Festival 2019, and Business awards 2019. One of their young dancers was commissioned to perform her own piece in the contemporary dance production “NEW SPEAK” at the Lyric Theatre in April 2020, showcasing the incredible opportunities provided to the students. The school continues to create more employment opportunities and invaluable experiences for the young dancers, constantly striving to enhance their artistic development.
As Ajendance NI moves forward, exciting plans are on the horizon. The school aims to bring even more unbelievable opportunities to its dancers in the autumn of 2020 and looks forward to sharing these experiences with everyone.
