Our Burnaby Dojo prides itself on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels to learn and practice Aikido. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to teaching the traditional techniques and philosophies of Aikido, while helping students develop physical fitness, mental focus, and emotional well-being.
At Aikido Vancouver Shomonkai - Burnaby Dojo, students have the opportunity to participate in regular classes, seminars, workshops, and special events throughout the year. Our dojo is equipped with a traditional tatami mat training area, as well as changing rooms and storage facilities for students' belongings.
In addition to our regular classes, our dojo also offers children's classes for young practitioners to learn and develop important skills such as discipline, respect, and cooperation. We also provide specialized training for individuals with physical disabilities, ensuring that Aikido is accessible to everyone.

Aikido Vancouver Shomonkai is a non-profit organization practicing traditional Aikido as our founding members were taught in Fukuoka, Japan, under Suganuma Sensei. We hold weekly classes in Burnaby and invite the public to observe classes, demonstrations, or special events.
Our traditional Aikido dojo is at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre. We also hold weekly classes in Burnaby.
