Aikido Mayo, located in Westport, Co. Mayo, was established in 1996 as the Aikido Organisation of Ireland. The school is led by Mr. Simone Chierchini, an international Aikido teacher with over 40 years of experience in the martial art.
Chierchini Sensei, holding a 5th Dan rank in Aikido, is the highest-ranked Aikido teacher in Connaught. The school offers a fun and aerobic exercise that helps students develop fluid movements, improve balance and coordination, and promote the integration of mind and body for physical well-being.
Classes at Aikido Mayo are led by Simone Chierchini, who has been teaching Aikido since 1984. Students learn at their own pace, gradually developing fitness, strength, flexibility, and endurance.
