Welcome to Aikido-Ka Dojo, a martial arts school located in Clarence Gardens, Adelaide, Australia. Aikido-Ka Dojo offers a unique and profound approach to conflict resolution through the practise of Aikido. As students of this remarkable art form, we invite you to explore the world of Aikido with us.
Aikido, often referred to as the Art of Peace, is a martial art that embodies the principles of blending and harmonising. The term “Aikido” consists of three characters: "ai” meaning blending, “ki” meaning spirit, and “do” meaning the way or path. It signifies the union of body and spirit, emphasising the importance of balance and harmony in all aspects of life. Aikido is not just a sport or a religion, but a way of living.
At Aikido-Ka Dojo, all senior members are affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan, through our long-standing connexion with the Kumano Juku Dojo in Shingu. Our classes are open to anyone who shares the vision of training in a cooperative and non-competitive environment. No prior knowledge of martial arts is required, and the intensity of training can be tailored to suit individual preferences. Whether you seek dynamic, vigorous movements or a more subtle and subdued experience, Aikido offers a whole spectrum of training possibilities.
Our training sessions take place on Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturdays from 8:30am to 10:30am. The Aikido-Ka Dojo is conveniently located on the Corner of South Road & Dinwoodie Avenue, Clarence Gardens SA. Access to the dojo can be found from Dinwoodie Avenue.
