Aikido Shinryukan NSW Classes, offered by Aikido Shinryukan New South Wales, are now available in Woologoolga and Coffs Harbour. And the best part? The first two weeks are absolutely free! These classes are perfect for those who are interested in self-defence and exercise.
Aikido Shinryukan New South Wales is a relatively new organisation in Australia, specifically in the beautiful Coffs Harbour region. The Dojo, our training centre, is conveniently located in Woolgoolga, just 20 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour. What sets Aikido Shinryukan apart is our direct connection to Nobuo Takase Shihan 7th Dan, who is associated with the prestigious Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Heading our Aikido Shinryukan NSW is the esteemed Shihan Nobuo Takase 7th Dan. Not only is he the Head Instructor, but he is also the Aikikai World Headquarters Representative for New Zealand and several Aikido Shinryukan groups in Australia. With extensive experience and his beginnings in Aikido at Kogakkan University in Ise, Japan, Takase Shihan has established Dojos across Australia, including those in Perth, Brisbane, and now, one in the Coffs Harbour area.
At our Coffs Harbour Dojo, we have the pleasure of having Sensei Kevin Allen 6th Dan as our Senior Instructor. Sensei Allen's journey in Aikido began over 38 years ago in Alice Springs, Central Australia. With many Dan ranks under his belt, he has taught Aikido for over 40 years in various countries such as Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and the USA. Sensei Allen is particularly renowned for his unique weapons-based system of Aikido. After spending 18 years in New Zealand, he has returned to Australia to share his wealth of knowledge.
Under the Technical Direction of Nobuo Takase 7th Dan, Aikido Shinryukan NSW Dojos conduct gradings twice a year. These gradings are a chance for you to demonstrate your skills in front of your peers. Starting off with simpler tests and gradually increasing in difficulty as you progress, achieving the coveted Black Belt, or Shodan, generally takes around four and a half years, depending on your dedication and training hours.
If you're interested in joining our Aikido Shinryukan NSW Classes, we welcome you to observe or try out any of our classes. Feel free to reach out to one of our Instructors beforehand if you have any questions or if you want to let them know that you're coming. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of the Aikido Shinryukan NSW community and experience the numerous benefits of self-defence and exercise!
