Macclesfield Aikido Genbukan is proud to present Aikido Beginners Classes, a thrilling local event held every Thursday at Hollinhey Primary School in Sutton. Whether you're young or old, big or small, male or female, these classes are open to everyone! So, if you've always wanted to try your hand at Aikido or have some experience under your belt, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Our classes run from 7.00pm to 8.30pm, giving you plenty of time to learn and practice this fascinating martial art. Don't worry if you're new to Aikido, our experienced instructors will evaluate your skills and ensure you feel comfortable throughout the sessions. Leading our Aikido Beginners Classes are two highly skilled chief instructors, Mike Thomson, holding a 2nd Dan black belt, and John Stephens, holding an impressive 3rd Dan black belt. Their expertise and passion for Aikido will guide you on your journey, ensuring that you receive excellent instruction and mentorship.
Now, you might be wondering about the fees. We've got you covered. The first class costs £5, which also includes four weeks of insurance coverage. After that, you can continue to attend our classes for only £4 per session. For those who want to take their Aikido journey to the next level, becoming a member of the esteemed British Aikido Federation is an option. With membership, you'll not only secure one year's insurance but also gain access to a wider Aikido community. The membership fee is just £35, payable in Week 5.
